Pakistan launches airstrikes against Afghan-based ‘militants’ it blames for cross-border attacks
Pakistan said Sunday it carried out airstrikes on militant camps across the border in Afghanistan, in a serious test of an uneasy peace between the neighbors.
PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistan on Saturday partially reopened the Torkham border crossing with Afghanistan to allow thousands of stranded Afghan refugees to return home, officials said.
Trucks have been stuck at the closed border since October. Both countries are facing economic losses with no end in sight.
