December 11, 1966: A bench clearing brawl breaks after Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Fred Williamson intercepted Miami Dolphins quarterback Dick Wood. The eventual AFL champion Chiefs escaped with a 19-18 win over the expansion Dolphins. Nicknamed "The Hammer", Williamson had injured Dolphins receiver Howard Twilley with forearm to the head, breaking Twilley's jaw earlier in the season. Seeking revenge, the Dolphins went after Williamson with late hits after his interception. #orangebowl #MiamiD
